Vitali Fashion School Info


The visa application must be submitted by the person concerned to the Visa Section of the Italian Embassy or to the Consular Office responsible for the applicant’s place of residence. As a rule, the foreigner must personally contact the diplomatic-consular representation with the documents indicated below.

Visa application form:    
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Valid travel document with expiry at least three months longer than that of the visa requested
  • Certificate of enrollment or pre-enrollment in the course with indication of the number of hours per day and the duration of the course
  • Documentation relating to training acquired in the country of origin
  • Demonstration of the availability of livelihoods in relation to the stay in Italy, for an amount not less than that established in Table A attached to the Directive of the Ministry of the Interior of 1.3.2000
  • Declaration regarding the availability in Italy of suitable accommodation, as well as the sum necessary for repatriation, which can also be proven by showing a return flight ticket
  • Insurance coverage for medical treatment and hospitalization
  • Consular Declaration attesting the right to health care, in the presence of specific agreements on the matter between Italy and the country of origin of the applicant

Fashion Stylist

Who he is
He is the one defining and designing the collections according to the samples expiry date and to the quality and price standards of the company he works for.

What he does
He is the creative mind in the fashion world. He is the one using his talent and creativity to create new, original models which meet market demands. He gives birth to his ideas employing traditional instruments as well as advanced technology equipment.

Who he works with
Stylists work in close contact with fashion designers, marketing experts, people in charge of elaborating and creating textures, pattern designers and tailors. He also in close contact with the models who will be wearing his creations, with photographers and show rooms staff.

Required Knowledge
Stylists have great knowledge of the history of costume, the textile industry, colour techniques, principles of anatomy, production processes. They must also have free-hand drawing skills and be able to use fashion design softwares as well as CAD for pattern designs in order to create a collection with the aid of the PC.

Fashion Designer

Who he is
He is the qualified person in charge of fashion illustrations.

What he does
He plans, draws and defines the fashion illustration combining creative and technical skills needed for the creation of a model and he decides whether to reproduce the same model with different colours and patterns. He usually works using traditional methods as well as computer design softwares.

Who he works with
Fashion designers work in close contact with fashion stylists, clothing samples supervisors, production supervisors and fashion planners. They often work together with other fashion designers.

Required Knowledge
They are required a good knowledge of human anatomy, design and colour techniques, art history, fashion sociology and textile history. They must also have free-hand drawing skills and be able to use fashion design softwares as well as CAD for pattern designs in order to create a collection with the aid of the PC.

Industrial Pattern Maker

Who he is
He is the person in charge of creating the model out of the fashion designer’s or the stylist’ fashion illustrations. He’s the link between the style and the making of paper patterns taking into consideration the size development.

What he does
He creates the basic size paper patterns, he supervises the prototype completion and he develops the different sizes manually or with CAD techniques.

Who he works with
He works in close contact with the fashion stylist, with the CAD technician, the production supervisor and the sampler.

Required Knowledge
The Industrial pattern designer must be able to create paper patterns, he must know geometrical formulas, anthropometric diagrams and CAD softwares for pattern design

Sartorial Pattern Maker

Who he is
He is the one in charge of turning the fashion illustrations created by either the fashion stylist or the fashion designer into models. He’s the link between the style and the complete making of the model. He is a professional who turns the fashion illustration into a real model, an expert in cutting, manufacturing and finishing techniques.

What he does
While the fashion stylist is the mind of the fashion industry, the tailoring patter designer is without doubt the hand. He manufactures the different models according to the stylist instructions and creates the prototype used to make the clothing samples.

Who he works with
The tailoring pattern designer works in close contact with the fashion stylist the CAD technician, the production supervisors and with the cutting room operators.

Required Knowledge
He is expected to have a good knowledge of manufacturing and sartorial techniques, of geometrical formulas and paper pattern techniques. A good knowledge of the main sewing machines as well as of the technically advanced ones is also essential. It is also really important for the sartorial pattern designer to have a perfect knowledge of fabrics, of the human body proportions and of anthropometric diagrams
